Approx Age: 2
Arlo is a young pup with the softest heart and the most beautiful journey of resilience. Rescued from a Romanian kill shelter, he arrived at the rescue completely shut down and unsure of the world around him. With patience, kindness, and consistency from staff and volunteers, Arlo slowly began to trust again—taking over a week before he felt safe enough to head out on his first walk. That moment marked the beginning of a wonderful transformation.
Today, Arlo is a fun-loving, playful boy who absolutely thrives in the company of other dogs. He truly comes out of his shell when he has a canine friend by his side and would love to live with another dog in his forever home. He has shown no interest in the resident cats, making him a great candidate for a multi-pet household.
While Arlo is still not the most confident boy, he has endless potential to flourish in a calm, loving home that allows him to continue building his confidence at his own pace. He can be a little nervous when first leaving the kennel, but as soon as he realises he’s heading out for a walk, his excitement shines through. He travels well in the van and loves nothing more than running and playing with other dogs.
Arlo absolutely adores Lyla, and the two will happily play together for as long as you let them—his joy is infectious when he’s with her. And when playtime is over, Arlo shows his gentle side. In the enrichment room, he loves to snuggle in close with people, soaking up cuddles, affection, and quiet companionship.
Arlo is, quite simply, the sweetest boy ever. With love, patience, and a confident canine friend, he will make a truly rewarding and devoted companion for the lucky family who gives him the forever home he deserves.
Arlo is fully vaccinated and has a current APHA certificate regarding Brucella, he has been treated for parasites, neutered, assessed and microchipped. His adoption donation is £400 which goes directly to helping save the lives of dogs just like him.
