Meet Junior
Junior is a handsome 3-year-old Black Labrador weighing 25kg who is looking for a loving new home.
Junior arrived in Islay alongside his sibling, Daisy, and another family dog, Blossom, following a change in their owners' circumstances. Despite this upheaval, he has remained a happy, affectionate, and fun-loving boy.
He loves playing with his sisters and enjoys plenty of attention from people, especially belly rubs! Junior is a friendly dog who thrives on companionship and is sure to make a wonderful addition to the right family.
Junior has previously lived with a cat and could do so again, provided introductions are carried out carefully and at a suitable pace. He has also lived happily with other dogs, so we believe he could share his new home with a compatible canine companion following sensible introductions.
He is a strong lad but generally walks well on the lead. However, when he's out with his sisters, his excitement can sometimes get the better of him, and he may forget his manners. His new family should be prepared to continue his training and help him build on the good foundations he already has.
Like most Labradors, Junior is highly food-motivated, making treats an excellent training aid. As Labradors can be prone to weight gain, his adopters will need to ensure he enjoys a balanced diet and regular exercise to keep him fit and healthy.
We feel Junior would be best suited to a home with dog-savvy children aged 12 years and over who can understand and respect his needs.
With a little time to settle into his new home, Junior is sure to become a loyal, loving, and devoted companion who will bring endless joy to his new family.
He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for parasites and neutered.
His adoption fee is £400, which helps rescue other dogs in need.
