Laki is nearly 7 years old and is a crossbreed from Macedonia.
He is a very handsome dog, golden brown in colour with white markings, and weighs approximately 20.8 kg.
Laki has a wonderful way of looking into his people’s eyes, showing trust and affection for those caring for him. He both gives and receives love and cuddles, and in the few weeks he has been at Islay, he has become a firm favourite with staff and volunteers. We don’t think it will take long for a potential adopter to fall in love with him.
He enjoys a good walk and is well behaved on the lead. He gets on well with other dogs and showed no reaction or interest when introduced to cats.
Laki can be a little nervous when travelling in a car, but with more practice, we believe his confidence will grow.
It is unknown whether Laki has previously lived in a home or is fully house trained, but he keeps his kennel very clean, suggesting he is used to toileting outside.
He has not yet met children while at Islay, but his gentle and loving nature suggests he could live with children with careful introductions.
Laki is a special dog and enjoys a little bit of cheese as a treat.
