Meet Lily – A Brave, Beautiful Puppy Looking for Her Forever Home
Lily is a beautiful 6-month-old crossbreed with a remarkable story and an even brighter future ahead of her.
When Lily was just 3 weeks old, she and her five siblings were found abandoned in a cardboard box in Romania during freezing winter conditions. Tragically, two of her siblings did not survive. Thanks to the dedication of Islay Dog Rescue and a local Romanian shelter, Lily and her remaining siblings—Lucy, Louis, and Lucky—were given a second chance and safely brought to the UK.
Today, Lily is thriving. Weighing 10.8kg and expected to grow into a medium-sized dog, she is a happy, healthy, and energetic young pup who is ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a loving family.
Like many rescue puppies, Lily has never lived in a home before, so she will need guidance with all aspects of puppy life, including toilet training and learning household routines. She has already made fantastic progress with socialisation and lead training and continues to impress staff and volunteers with how well she is adapting.
When meeting new people, Lily can be a little cautious and may not immediately be the cuddly puppy some expect. However, once she gets to know you and learns she can trust you, her gentle and affectionate nature shines through. She loves tummy rubs and enjoys quiet affection from those she feels comfortable with. There is no doubt that, given time and patience, Lily will blossom into a devoted and loving family companion.
As a shelter-raised puppy, she may initially find everyday household sights and sounds—such as televisions, vacuum cleaners, and other unfamiliar experiences—a little overwhelming. With reassurance, consistency, and patience, she will quickly learn that these things are nothing to fear.
Lily gets on wonderfully with other dogs and loves playtime and chase games with her canine friends. She could happily live with another friendly dog who can help build her confidence. Although she has not yet been cat tested, this can be arranged if required.
Her three siblings have all found their forever homes, and now it is Lily's turn. This lovely girl is simply waiting for someone to see her potential and offer her the love, security, and patience she deserves.
Lily is fully vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites, and has been tested for Brucella. She also has her APHA passport. Her adopter will be required to sign a neutering agreement.
Her adoption fee is £500, which goes directly toward helping save more dogs like Lily.
Could you be the person to give Lily the happy ending she has been waiting for?
