Meet Lucky– approx. 4 month old Crossbreed.

Along with his 5 siblings Lucky was found abandoned in a cardboard box in Bosnia in freezing cold conditions when he was only 3 weeks old. Unfortunately, 2 of his siblings did not survive.

Islay Dog Rescue supported the local Bosnian dog shelter to bring Lucky and his 3 surviving siblings, Lisa, Lily and #, to the UK

Now at approximately 4 months old Luck a is a healthy and active pup. He has been tested for Brucella and has his APHA passport.

He is a fun-loving energetic pup who is just beginning his big adventure and will need a home and family who are willing to work on all areas of puppy training with him.

He has never lived in a house so is not yet toilet trained.

Staff and volunteers are continuing to socialise him and have introduced him to lead walks though he is in the early days of this training.

Many shelter raised puppies may initially be alarmed by everyday household noises that they have not previously been exposed to, such as the TV or hoover, but with re-assurance and patience he should overcome this quickly.

He is socialised with both people and other dogs and though he has not yet met children, his young age and friendliness means that she should be fine to live with children but like with any young pup young children should always have supervised interactions with him

Lucky is the biggest of his siblings and currently weighs 9.4kg and we believe that when fully grown he will be small to medium sized.

He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and his adopter will have to sign a neutering agreement.

His adoption fee is £500, which goes directly towards helping to save the lives of dogs just like him.
