Meet Mika

Mika is a beautiful 3‑year‑old Caucasian Shepherd, weighing an impressive 46.5kg. Despite a difficult start in life, she remains a gentle, affectionate girl who deserves a second chance at happiness.

Full details of her background will be shared with potential adopters upon application.

Because of her size and breed, Mika needs plenty of space and would not be suitable for a flat or small home. She would thrive in a larger property with a substantial garden, or even a smallholding or farm where she could enjoy time outdoors with access to appropriate shelter such as a barn or large outbuilding.

It is currently unknown whether Mika has previously lived in a home environment or if she is house‑trained.

Mika is a true gentle giant. She is good with other dogs and could happily live alongside one or more canine companions. She has met the resident Islay cat and showed little interest, so with careful introductions she may be able to live with a dog‑savvy cat.

Mika has a playful and affectionate nature, loves attention and cuddles, and enjoys meeting new people.

Due to her large size and the possibility of accidentally knocking over younger children, she would be best suited to a home with children aged twelve and over.

She enjoys her walks and is excellent on the lead. Mika is curious about the world around her but has shown no reactivity to traffic or livestock. She loves her treats and will sit and offer a paw for her favourite reward of ham, and her enthusiasm for food will be a great help in her ongoing training.

Despite her size, Mika is a loving, affectionate and playful companion who adores spending time with her people. She needs a home with plenty of space and adopters who can give her the love, admiration and continued training she deserves. In return, she will reward her new family with unwavering affection and devotion.

Mika is fully vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and fully assessed. Her adopter will be required to sign a neutering agreement.

Her adoption fee is £400, which goes directly towards helping rescue and care for dogs just like her.

Could you offer Mika the loving home she so richly deserves?
