Approx Age: 4
Puma is a stunning 5-year-old retired Greyhound with long legs, a gentle soul, and so much love to give. Sadly, despite being adored by everyone at the rescue, he’s had a tough journey — he’s been adopted twice but became very distressed in new home environments, leading to crying, whining, restlessness, and toileting indoors. Both times, he was returned after just two nights.
However, in foster care, Puma showed a completely different side. He settled beautifully, fitted right in, and clearly indicated when he needed to go outside, showing that with the right environment, patience, and understanding, he can absolutely thrive.
Puma may be a very tall lad, but don’t let that put you off — he’s incredibly gentle, affectionate, and sweet-natured. He’s only recently discovered the joy of toys and is thoroughly enjoying this new chapter of playfulness.
Due to his racing background, Puma can only live with larger dogs and cannot live with cats or small animals. He would be equally happy as a spoiled only dog or sharing his home with another calm canine companion.
Puma is a firm favourite at the rescue, but being repeatedly overlooked and returned is taking its toll — this lovely boy truly needs a break and a chance to finally feel safe and secure in his forever home.
If you can offer patience, kindness, and a calm home, Puma could be the most loyal and loving companion you’ll ever meet.
Please consider Puma—tall, kind, and absolutely perfect.
He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites, assessed and neutered.
His adoption fee is £250 which goes directly to helping save the lives of dogs just like him.
