Rose is an amazing lady who was rescued from a kill shelter in Romania. Her rescuers weren't sure if they had a dog or a lion!! Her coat was completely matted and she had to be taken to the vets and clipped - her coat came off like a sheep fleece! Despite this intrusion into her personal space by total strangers she took all the treatment and handling without a single grumble!
She is truly the most beautiful soul. Rose is very laid back and although a giant sized dog she is not too keen on walking very far - or very fast. She will need access to a large garden, in which she can snooze - she likes a snooze! She is fine with other dogs and hasn't shown any interest in our cats. Given her size we would only rehomed her where children were over the age of 8 - otherwise they may become bowling skittles.
Rose was very bonded to the foster carer, Daniel, and was fairly miserable for the first couple of weeks as she was pining for him. However, she has settled now but needs a new love in her life.
