Approx Age: 16 months
Wallace is a 16 month old, miniature smooth dachshund. At the moment Wallace is in foster care where there are several other dogs. He interacts appropriately with them and could be rehomed with another dog providing introductions go well and energies are matched.
Dachshunds were originally bred as hunting dogs and not to be carried in bags wearing clothes. Wallace definitely has this DNA !! He is "all dog" and needs an owner who will respect this and treat him as such. He is a young dog and therefore requires further and consistent training. He needs at least three decent walks each day interspersed with play and training sessions. Wallace is crate trained and is able to be left quite happily for a couple of hours. He is toilet trained to use puppy pads but with further training these could be eliminated.
He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites and assessed. He can be introduced to potential adopters at his foster carers house.
His adoption donation is £400 which goes directly to saving the lives of other dogs just like him.
