Zac is a 5 year old, small/medium sized, cocker spaniel type crossbreed. He was relinquished into rescue as his owner felt he was too strong to walk and was being left in the house all day.
On a walk, he is very interested in his surrounds and loves a good sniff!! He does get excited to go a walk and pulls on the lead but this is an area we have been working on and he is doing really well. He has taken part in a couple of group walks and hasn't presented any problems at this time.
Zac is, however, a resource guarder. This means that if he has something he values (be that a treat, a ball or a stick) he will guard to keep it and is capable of nipping to chase the perceived threat away. Whilst resource guarding can be very problematic it is one of the easier "spicy traits" to manage.
Zac is a lovely boy who needs a home of his own. Given his resource guarding we would not rehome him where there are children or visiting children therefore an adult only home would be preferable.
He is fully vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites, neutered and assessed. If you are interested in adopting him please complete the adoption application below.
